The crinum garden at Kanapaha is pretty good. It's a large area with several different cultivars of crinum. Not many were in bloom right now, but they're still pretty - rust and everything! If I learn how to treat rust today, I'll add to the post.

I've had my eye on those deep colored crinums for a little while. Not a big fan of the green ones except in just the right setting but I think I could work some of those with the wonderful dark foliage into several places here at Hoe & Shovel.
Have fun filming!

Kanapaha has a crinum garden?!?! When is it in full bloom? I need to make a trip! (Seriously, this bit of news made my day.) Did you find out about rust? My crinums don't appear to have it, but I'm interested. BTW, how is their children's garden coming along? It was only about half done the last time I was there.

So, I'm looking at one of my crinums this afternoon and I'm seeing some little spots that look awfully "rusty". I googled "crinum rust" and found very little (actually, I found this post!) As you can see, I'm attached to my babies, so if you know somewhere I can go to get more info, I'd be very greatful!!!
